There’s probably no greater Amazon fan than this woman, whose husband has presented her with what could be her dream birthday cake.
Photographer Emily McGuire thought her spouse had placed a real parcel on their table to poke fun at the serial Amazon shopper, who estimates receiving two to three boxes from the online marketplace every week.
“Here’s your cake!” he later revealed to her. The delivery of his joke turned out to be perfect, as McGuire related to Cafemom that the unusually-themed cake meant that her husband “gets me.”
McGuire’s husband sought the services of Sweet Dreams Bakery in Dunn, North Carolina, and paid US$50 for the custom, wholly edible “parcel.” The birthday cake came with a faux priority shipping label addressed to “1234 Birthday Lane, Happy Birthday, 2U” and a replica of Amazon’s shipping tag made with sugar and wafer paper.
According to USA Today, the bakery was excited to take up the challenge, and took eight hours to complete the elaborate treat.
The icing on the cake? McGuire said the dessert tasted good, too.
When you order a lot from Amazon..you get an Amazon box cake.
