‘James Bond’s vintage Aston Martin DB5, the very car from the 1964 movie Goldinger, is going up for auction.
Auctioneers estimate that the vehicle can fetch from US$4 million to US$6 million, given that it is one of the only three surviving Bond-modified DB5. In fact, car specialist Barney Ruprecht at auction house Sotheby’s even stated that, “No other car in history has played a more important leading role on film and in pop culture” than the car in question.
‘Bond’ fans will be pleased to know that all of the modifications are fully-functioning in the car, so whoever ends up owning it can use its smoke screen dispensers, revolving license plates, and even the passenger-seat ejection system. Talk about playing the secret agent in real life.
Interested bidders can visit the car display in North America this summer. The specific dates and locations are still pending.
The listed price is a hefty US$3.5 million. There are also only 25 replica DB5s from Aston Martin, so it would make sense to get it while you can.Visit Website
