‘Spider-Man’ Poster Gets Mocked For Being Tackily-Designed With Comical Remakes

Movie buffs are serious about how promotional materials are supposed to look, so you can imagine their chagrin when IMAX unleashed a seemingly unimpressive poster for Marvel Studios’ upcoming Spider-Man: Far From Home.

The artwork comprises cut-outs of ‘Nick Fury’ (Samuel L. Jackson) and ‘Mysterio’ (Jake Gyllenhaal) composited against the larger upper-half of ‘Spider-Man’ (Tom Holland). The image has been ridiculed for appearing amateurish, as if someone has “just learned how to paste PNGs in Photoshop,” one Instagram user bemoans.

“Still waiting for the good poster,” another Spider-Man fan comments.

In their defense, the collage aesthetic might be a little overdone by now, and the white outlines of the character cut-outs aren’t helping things either.

To express their disappointment for the graphic, social media users have created their own intentionally bad variations, which you can have a chuckle at below.
